Last week, KC England Photography turned 6 years old! This little business of mine looked very different when I started it in 2013. Multiple logos, websites, and even a business name change has all happened in the last 6 years. As a creative person, I find myself constantly evolving and so does my business and my brand. I would guess that there will even be more changes and updates in the future, but for now I am happy to kick off 2019 with a fresh new website! Join me for a little walk down memory lane…

My very first logo. I started my business as Leaving A Mark Photography in 2013 with a $20 logo purchased from Etsy. My very first website was through Wordpress.

By 2014, I was looking for an easier web platform and decided to move from Wordpress to Square Space. I designed my very first Square Space site on my own! About the same time I needed collateral pieces and didn’t know how to design them with the current logo I had. I went through a mini rebrand with 99designs and ended up with a new logo and several new collateral pieces.

And then in 2016, I decided to change my business name to KC England Photography (read more about this change here) and went through a complete rebranding effort with Leesa Dykstra Designs.

In 2017, I worked with Leesa Dykstra again to update my website and added several new features. It then looked like this…

And yet another update in 2019 with Leesa Dykstra (she is the best!) and I couldn’t be happier with the finished results. We updated all of the images, text, and design throughout the site. One of our goals was to add more movement within the site, incorporate the blogs as much as possible, and to elevate the overall look. I think we accomplished everything and then some - I love it!
