This is a first for me. I am a photographer, not a home decor blogger....but I LOVE photography and home decor and Christmas, so here is my first official Christmas Home blog post! I have been taking photos of my Christmas decorations ever since I had my first apartment...1995! For years, I would print out the photos and tuck them away in the Christmas bins so that I would remember where everything goes for the next year. So, here I am, still taking the photos and just "saving" them in the form of a blog post now. This will be our 10th Christmas in this home and aside from a few things that are back in their same spot, I love to switch the decor up a bit and usually add in a few new pieces each year. Inspiration is everywhere, but my favorite place to find ideas is on Instagram. I love to incorporate natural greenery whenever possible, but I also have a few faux greenery pieces. I also love white, black, natural wood pieces and gold.

ps. Most of my pieces are items I have collected over the years, but I did try to tag/add sources for any new items. I buy most everything on sale or at local vintage stores.

The Front Porch. I added fresh garland from Trader Joe's around our front door. I used just 2 garlands - $6.95 each. The Joy sign was purchased through a friend. The metal sleigh is something I found at Pier One and I have probably had it for 10+ years. The wood box, #2 bucket, and wood tree are all vintage finds. I clipped some extra limbs from the bottom of our Christmas tree to fill the #2 bucket. The twigs were cut from one of our bushes in the backyard. I bought the bells (hanging from the Joy sign) last year, but I can't remember where I bought them...I'm thinking World Market?! The little red E is from a local shop, Mel's.

The Entry.

The twig trees are from Target (a few years old). The faux greenery is from Fred Meyer (last year). I added a few lighted twig branches, like these. The pom garland is from Hobby Lobby and I love how it looks on the stairwell this year. I think you can still buy the black and white garland - I saw one there last week. The silver bell garland came from Pottery Barn and I have had it for 10+ years.

The Kitchen. I added a few things on a small round tray in the center of our island and in the corner right behind our sink.

The santa was an after Christmas find from Wolrd Market several years ago. The candle is new from Target this year. The gold pitcher came from Marigold Vintage at Lucky Vintage (new to me this year!)

The tree trio and faux greenery came from Hobby Lobby. I found that little copper pot several years ago in the floral department at Safeway and filled it with fresh mint from Trader Joe's.

The Dining Room.

The White snowflake lanterns are from Fred Meyer (a few years old). The wood candlesticks came from Target. The small gold candle holders are a few years old from Pottery Barn (I have 3, but I wish I had more!). The small white cups with the gold stripe are new this year from Foxwood Home at Lucky Vintage (new this year!). The table runner is actually just a piece of burlap cut from a bolt at Hobby Lobby. The ends are unfinished.

The wreath is from the Hearth + Hand line at Target (new this year!). The Joy sign came from Lucky Vintage (last year). The nativity was a gift from my parents from their trip to Bethlehem. The faux tree is from Michael's.

The Living Room.

Our tree came from Hansen's Orchard on Greenbluff. Read more about our family tree outing here! The tall bottle brush trees are from Foxwood Home at Lucky Vintage (new this year). I have been collecting the mercury glass vases over the years.

The Family Room.

This tree is a new purchase from Target. The girls have tiny trees in their bedrooms, but we decided to get a little bigger tree for our family room and it's decorated with all our family and handmade ornaments. We spend a lot of time in this room and I love the extra twinkle from this tree at night.
